About the position

The Manager, Community Health Programs at Emory Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the development and administration of community health programs aimed at improving health outcomes in underserved communities. This role involves coordinating initiatives that address social determinants of health, managing program budgets and resources, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to health equity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of community health workers and other community health programs.
  • Coordinate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community improvement initiatives.
  • Manage program budgets, resources, and staff to ensure effective and efficient program operations.
  • Develop and maintain program documentation, including policies, procedures, and reports.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to address social determinants of health.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate social determinants of health into community health programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of initiatives on health outcomes and provide recommendations for enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in community health programs.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on data related to community health programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports for internal leadership, community partners, and funders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Community Health, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in community health program management or administration.
  • Experience working on initiatives that address social determinants of health and promote health equity.
  • Supervisory experience with both paid staff and volunteers.
  • Proven experience in community engagement and partnership development.
