About the position

The position is responsible for managing the organization's youth baseball outreach initiatives, including overseeing the Uniform Program, planning and executing the Champions Day Series, and coordinating various clinics. The role involves collaboration with multiple departments to enhance community engagement and support youth baseball programs, while also providing administrative oversight to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Uniform Program, including purchasing, inventory management, and distribution of merchandise to youth leagues.
  • Drive planning and execution of the Champions Day Series to honor youth baseball championship teams.
  • Plan, manage, and execute various clinics, overseeing interns in their execution.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Youth Programming to develop new areas of youth baseball support.
  • Serve as the primary contact for various youth baseball organizations.
  • Act as the community voice and collaborate with Corporate Partnerships to implement youth baseball efforts with sponsors.
  • Engage with the community to facilitate in-kind donations and supervise interns' fulfillment work.
  • Identify opportunities to engage and grow community involvement.
  • Provide administrative oversight for departmental operations, including sorting mail and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with facilities and administration staff to maintain organized storage and office supplies.
  • Assist marketing and communications teams with coordination and execution of marketing requests.
  • Support community programming initiatives led by the Director of Youth Programming and Senior Vice President.
  • Hire and train interns in collaboration with the Director of Youth Programming.
  • Support civic partnerships and activations as directed by the Senior Vice President.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in community programming and/or corporate philanthropy.
  • Minimum of a four-year Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Sports Management, or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge of community programs and methods for developing community relations programs.
  • Ability to exercise discretion with confidential matters.
  • Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and database management.
