About the position

The Manager - Compliance Change at Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing is responsible for overseeing compliance-related activities within the organization. This role involves working closely with the Legal and Compliance departments to identify, track, and remediate gaps in policies, processes, and technology. The manager will lead a team in executing remediation strategies and ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments to meet compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Head a team responsible for performing remediation activities.
• Identify gaps in processes, policies, federal and state laws, and technology through reviewing various reports and assessments.
• Create remediation strategies to address identified gaps.
• Serve as the project manager for remediation efforts when appropriate.
• Develop a testing plan with VP Compliance operations to validate the effectiveness of remediation efforts.
• Document and track all gaps requiring remediation and the associated processes.
• Provide necessary documentation to support the remediation process for internal and external requests.
• Perform personnel managerial duties such as goal setting, performance monitoring, and coaching.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6-8 years of progressive compliance experience.
• 2-4 years of mortgage banking experience preferred.
• 2+ years of prior supervisory or management experience required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of mortgage technology.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
