About the position

The Manager - Compliance Change at Newrez is responsible for overseeing compliance-related activities within the organization, ensuring that policies, processes, and technologies meet regulatory standards. This role involves leading a team to identify and remediate compliance gaps, manage projects related to compliance improvements, and collaborate with various departments to enhance operational effectiveness. The position requires a strong focus on documentation, tracking remediation efforts, and providing support for both internal and external compliance requests.

Responsibilities

• Head a team responsible for performing remediation activities.
• Identify gaps in processes, policies, federal and state laws, and technology through reviewing various reports.
• Create remediation strategies to address identified gaps.
• Serve as the project manager for remediation efforts when appropriate.
• Develop a testing plan with VP Compliance operations to validate the effectiveness of the remediation.
• Document and track all gaps requiring remediation and the associated processes.
• Provide necessary documentation to support the remediation process for internal and external requests.
• Perform personnel managerial duties such as goal setting, performance monitoring, and coaching.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6-8 years of progressive compliance experience required.
• 2-4 years of mortgage banking experience preferred.
• 2+ years of prior supervisory or management experience required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of mortgage technology.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
