About the position

The Manager of Computer Vision at NVIDIA will lead the VIC (Video and Image Compositor) team, focusing on offloading computer vision preconditioning tasks from the GPU to a dedicated hardware unit. This role involves defining strategies, developing software features, and collaborating with various teams to enhance the functionality of NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle and robotics technologies. The position requires a hands-on approach to management and technical leadership, ensuring the team meets market demands and adheres to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Define a strategy and roadmap to offload computer vision preconditioning from the GPU to the VIC IP block.
• Lead the VIC software team to develop user-space APIs and program the VIC firmware.
• Collaborate across team boundaries to understand customer use cases and drive VIC adoption.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE for critical systems in self-driving vehicles and robots.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in imaging science or computer vision.
• 7+ years of overall experience in relevant fields.
• 4+ years of management or senior technical leadership experience.
• Proven record of taking products to market.
• Expert knowledge of embedded software and system architecture.
• Proficient in crafting technical roadmaps and implementing products.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
