The Manager, Consulting (Risk & Regulatory Management) at Cognizant is responsible for leading consulting projects within the Banking & Financial Services sector. This role focuses on delivering strategic insights and solutions to clients, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving business growth through effective project execution and team leadership. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience to mentor junior consultants and foster client relationships, while also contributing to the development of consulting service offerings.
Responsibilities
- Lead consulting projects in Banking & Financial Services Consulting, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Oversee the development and implementation of financial strategies for clients.
- Provide expert advice on Risk & Regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with client objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand their requirements.
- Conduct thorough financial assessments and identify areas for improvement.
- Design and implement financial controls and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices into consulting engagements.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for clients.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Mentor and guide junior consultants to foster their professional growth.
- Utilize data analytics to provide actionable financial insights.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the consulting practice.
- Serve as the Engagement Lead and manage teams of Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Managers for one or more commercial projects.
- Enrich client partnering and anticipate client needs based on a solid understanding of emerging industry requirements.
- Ensure appropriate alignment and collaboration of consulting teams to support project requirements.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, upskilling, and mentorship of colleagues in Consulting.
- Participate in people development and community-building activities.
- Guide development, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Develop and manage the capture, communication, and sharing of intellectual property (IP) and project artifacts.
- Exercise leadership in the development of Consulting service offerings.
- Leverage collegial networks across Cognizant to innovate solutioning or resolve issues.
- Support and contribute to the establishment of thought leadership in the industry.
Requirements
- 15+ years of consulting experience in professional services and digital strategy development.
- Extensive domain expertise in Banking & Financial Services.
- Strong project management skills and experience leading teams.
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights.
- Proven track record of client relationship management and business development.
