About the position

The Marketing Analytics and Business Insights (MABI) team supporting AbbVie's US Commercial organization is a robust group of over 200 members, dedicated to becoming the gold standard in Research & Analytics within the biopharmaceutical industry. This team comprises highly respected researchers, analysts, and strategists who serve as strategic advisors to Marketing, Sales, and Leadership. The MABI team ensures that all decisions are grounded in rigorous intelligence and earned intuition, viewing data as a vital input into insight generation rather than an endgame. The team embraces ambiguity while recognizing the necessity for clarity, working tirelessly to build new capabilities and skill sets. In the role of Manager, Consumer Data Strategy and Enablement, you will be a pivotal force in developing data strategies and implementing data solutions that will enhance AbbVie's consumer data ecosystem. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Business Technology Solutions (BTS), omnichannel analytics, and reporting functions, to ensure the seamless onboarding of essential data. You will also support the prioritization and standardization of metrics within the consumer data ecosystem, working closely with the Digital Lab team. Your primary objectives will focus on ensuring successful data onboarding aligned with strategic priorities, maintaining data integrity, curating business rules, and standardizing metrics for a seamless analytics experience. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of advanced Business Intelligence (BI) reporting and analytics capabilities, enabling the organization to derive actionable insights and drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Support consumers of data by enabling reporting operations and metric standardization aligned with our data governance policies.
  • Lead 3rd Party data integration workstream to consolidate all ad-tech data into our consumer data ecosystem and ensure its usability to AbbVie stakeholders.
  • Develop data quality BI dashboards to improve access to data for all stakeholders, including non-technical ones.
  • Enable an environment to collect and standardize business rules for strongly governed data environments.
  • Effectively work with cross-functional partners to deliver integrated analytics solutions reflecting the diverse contributions across the consumer marketing functions.
  • Develop and deliver a UAT framework to have confidence that data builds fully satisfy requirements.
  • Measure and optimize data onboarding to ensure minimal latency to data accessibility.
  • Engage vendors and data providers when there is a need to improve data quality.
  • Become a consultant and trusted advisor for internal stakeholders of consumer data.
  • Continue learning about the industry changes in the consumer data landscape and leverage those insights to help further craft AbbVie's consumer data ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with a concentration in marketing/sales/quantitative analysis preferred. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in developing data strategies for Ad-tech data or experience in quantitative analysis of sales and marketing data (consumer marketing preferred), including use of this information in the development of business plans and strategies.
  • Experience within the Pharma/Biotech industry is a plus.
  • 2+ years people leadership experience is a plus.
  • Hands on experience with data integration, converting business rules into requirements, and functional specifications.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks around data and data ingestion. Working with legal, privacy, and regulatory to ensure data compliance standards and proper use of data.
  • Experience with current Ad-Tech Platforms and data feeds. Big data experience.
  • Strong analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving.
  • Experience with syndicated pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, SHA, etc.) is a plus.
  • Advanced communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage up, and advanced stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced agility, project management and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced vendor management skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and to influence in a matrixed organization.
