About the position

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Consumer Products Licensing who can shepard strategic partnerships, while developing and executing successful, integrated launches across Supercell's portfolio of gaming IP. This role requires a strong foundation in account management, knowledge of the licensing business, and experience in marketing product launches to elevate Supercell's brands through innovative consumer products programs, brand collaborations and promotional partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Act as point of contact for consumer product licensees, brand collaborators, and promotional partners, ensuring they are aligned with our IP strategies and brand objectives and have the necessary information to develop successful programs.
  • Manage and grow high-value partnerships, conducting regular status and strategy meetings to explore growth opportunities and drive successful consumer product launches.
  • Work closely with our licensing agent(s) to ensure licensees have the necessary information and upcoming plans for our IP and games, the development of launch plans, and on-going marketing support.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Legal, Comms, Finance, and Game Teams to develop, approve, and launch licensed consumer products and partnerships that enhance the Supercell brand.
  • Produce compelling presentations, pitch materials, and strategic updates to support partner engagement, monitor competitive performance, and seize new opportunities in the consumer products space.
  • Produce competitive analyses to better help evaluate opportunities.
  • Partner closely with internal and external marketing teams to create integrated brand campaigns that maximize the visibility and reach of consumer products across Supercell's IP.
  • Support marketing activations and retail strategies, providing insights into consumer product trends and collaborating on campaign strategies to drive customer engagement and product success.
  • Craft brand pitches, sales sheets, and one-sheets that showcase the value of Supercell's IP, engaging both partners and end consumers.
  • Utilize Supercell's licensing management platform to track partner pitches, manage pipeline data, and ensure all records are up-to-date.
  • Oversee and coordinate financial and legal documentation, ensuring contracts, payments, and budget tracking are accurately processed and meet internal standards.
  • Participate in planning and execution for Tradeshows, Partner Summits, and other industry and Supercell events.
  • Process unsolicited pitches and maintain pipeline trackers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in licensing with a focus on consumer products, ideally within gaming, entertainment, or related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of the consumer products industry, with proven experience developing and launching entertainment character-based licensed products.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain high-value relationships in the licensing space.
  • Deep understanding of licensing models, contract negotiation, and the consumer product lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with brand management and marketing principles to support effective campaigns and brand activations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting ideas and building alignment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively. A proactive doer, who is unafraid to roll up their sleeves.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with licensing management platforms is a plus.
