About the position

The Manager of Content Communications at Pilot Company plays a pivotal role in driving visual storytelling and optimizing communication strategies across various channels. This position is responsible for leading the ideation and creation of both internal and external communications content, which includes newsletters, blogs, podcasts, social media, and video/audio content. The manager will oversee the publishing and management of editorial content on the company's intranet and external newsroom, ensuring that all communications align with the brand's voice and feel. In addition to content creation, the manager will lead a small team of two content communications professionals, providing direction, support, and development opportunities for team members. The role also involves refining and managing internal communication processes using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as well as tracking and executing communication plans and initiatives. The manager will collaborate with various partners and clients to maintain consistency in messaging and support marketing department initiatives, including reviewing and editing key communications materials. The ideal candidate will model behaviors that align with the company's common purpose, ensuring that both guests and team members receive the highest level of support. Compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures is essential in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Drive visual storytelling on the Pilot communications team.
  • Lead the ideation and creation of internal and external communications content, including newsletters, blogs, podcasts, and social media.
  • Manage the publishing and editorial content on the company's intranet and external newsroom.
  • Oversee the content communications team, providing direction and support for team member development.
  • Refine and manage internal communications processes using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Track and execute communications plans and initiatives, updating the communications tracking system and calendar.
  • Align with partners and clients to maintain brand voice across communications channels.
  • Support marketing department and executive-led initiatives, including reviewing and editing key communications materials.
  • Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose and ensure high-level support for guests and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in production, broadcast, newsroom, content creation/management, social media, or public relations.
  • Experience working within a large, matrixed organization preferred.
  • Intermediate Salesforce skills a plus.
  • Experience with content management software and editing equipment.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
