About the position

The Manager, Content Design (MCD) at Ring is responsible for establishing the user experience standards for Ring's product suite through effective content design and writing. This role involves leading a team to develop impactful content strategies that enhance customer experiences throughout their shopping and learning journeys. The MCD synthesizes complex data to inform business strategies and improve user comprehension, accessibility, and conversion rates.

Responsibilities

• Define and evangelize global and regional content guidelines and best practices.
• Own the content lifecycle, leading cross-organizational design reviews and influencing product outcomes.
• Utilize data analysis, user research, and audits to support content decisions.
• Lead strategic alignment across organizations, advising on core UX disciplines and methods.
• Communicate complex product concepts in clear, jargon-free language.
• Incorporate feedback loops for optimization post-launch.
• Set content vision and optimize organizational structures to meet business goals.
• Manage a high volume of complex programs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of design experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading design teams.
• Experience in problem definition, artifact rendering, and user validation.
• Knowledge of information architecture and interaction design best practices.
• Familiarity with user experience principles and techniques.
• Experience shipping innovative consumer products.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with end-user documentation for consumer-packaged goods, tech, or electronics.
