The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the corporate accounting functions of the company, ensuring the preparation and distribution of timely financial reports. This role is crucial in maintaining an adequate system of internal controls within the financial reporting process. The manager will be tasked with developing and implementing new internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and other relevant procedures at all levels of the organization. In addition to maintaining appropriate accounting controls, the Corporate Accounting Manager will identify and implement opportunities to improve and automate processes, ensuring the integrity of financial data and solid accounting controls. This position requires ownership of ad hoc project requests and the ability to motivate and drive project teams forward while providing support and gaining buy-in from Senior Management. The manager will also be responsible for directing and developing the corporate accounting staff, which includes hiring, performance management, and training to ensure that employees meet departmental goals and expectations. Furthermore, the Corporate Accounting Manager will prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for distribution to managers throughout the company, including the reporting package reviewed by the officers. Close collaboration with the SEC reporting group and internal and external auditors will be essential to ensure that regulatory reporting needs are met. The manager will also assist various business partners with variance explanations against both plan/forecast and prior year periods, and work to consolidate and integrate financial close and reporting processes of newly acquired entities.
