About the position

Audacy seeks an experienced and dynamic Manager of Internal Communications to lead and manage our internal communications strategy. This role is essential in fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture through effective communication strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal communications, focusing on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), team member engagement, and reporting on company events and achievements. This is a full-time, hybrid role, with preference to our Philadelphia office. We will also consider candidates from NYC. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and values. You will manage the internal communications calendar, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery. Additionally, you will oversee the management and optimization of internal communication platforms such as the intranet, email newsletters, and internal social media, ensuring that content is accessible, engaging, and consistent across all platforms. Your role will also involve creating, editing, and curating content that promotes DEI initiatives, enhances team member engagement, and communicates key company events and milestones. You will work closely with HR, DEI teams, and other departments to gather and disseminate important information. Furthermore, you will deploy and help develop initiatives and campaigns that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, inspire performance, and increase peer-to-peer recognition. You will track and analyze the effectiveness of internal communication strategies and platforms, preparing regular reports on communication metrics to present findings to senior leadership. Additionally, you will help plan and execute internal events like town halls, all-hands meetings, and team member recognition programs, ensuring these events are communicated effectively and contribute to team member engagement and morale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal communications, preferably within the media industry
  • Proven experience in managing internal communication platforms and developing strategic communication plans
  • Strong understanding and commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles
  • Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in communication tools and technologies (e.g., intranet software, email marketing tools, social media platforms)
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to measure communication effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
