About the position

The Manager of Corporate Partnerships and Community Engagement at Oregon Humane Society plays a crucial role in building and strengthening corporate and community partnerships in Salem and the mid-Willamette Valley. This position requires strategic thinking and a goal-driven mindset, focusing on representing OHS in the community, developing partnerships, and creating compelling proposals to drive engagement and support for the organization's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Represent OHS as the primary brand ambassador in Salem and surrounding communities by attending various events.
  • Develop and execute ongoing activities to achieve the goals of the Corporate and Foundations team.
  • Identify, research, and cultivate new corporate partners to expand support for OHS initiatives.
  • Support a portfolio of existing corporate donors, ensuring regular communication and engagement.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand funding needs and develop compelling proposals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising strategies, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Lead donor tours of OHS and discuss OHS activities positively when speaking to groups and individuals.
  • Schedule and lead volunteer groups for current and prospective corporate partners.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create materials showcasing the impact of corporate and foundation support.

Requirements

  • Four years of experience in sales and customer service, and/or nonprofit fundraising.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and with teams on multiple, simultaneous tasks while being attentive to detail.
  • Experience using fundraising software and databases, as well as CRM tools, to track donor relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
