About the position
The Manager, Corporate Sustainability Strategy at Western Digital is responsible for leading the company's sustainability initiatives, managing public disclosures, and driving forward the sustainability strategy. This role involves overseeing sustainability reporting processes, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with sustainability-related regulations. The Manager will work cross-functionally to build projects and councils, establish trust with customers and suppliers, and support the company's environmental goals and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead public disclosures related to sustainability.
- Manage sustainability reporting processes end-to-end.
- Conduct materiality analyses and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Monitor sustainability-related regulations and assist with compliance assessments.
- Devise sustainability-related risk assessments and embed them into existing processes.
- Lead Supplier Sustainability Engagement and align efforts with customer needs.
- Support customer engagement and environmental initiatives.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of relevant professional experience in sustainability or related fields.
- Strong project management expertise with a proven track record of leading cross-functional projects.
- Effective presentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency with sustainability standards and frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and CDP disclosures.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the tech sector or consulting.
- Familiarity with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
