About the position

The Manager - Credit Risk, Collections and Portfolio Management role at SoFi is essential for overseeing credit risk across various lending products. This position involves advanced analytics to identify gaps in strategies and ensure effective controls and performance monitoring within the Collections and Portfolio Management sectors. The manager will play a key role in supporting the second-line oversight of credit risk, driving adherence to risk metrics, and communicating insights to management.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for data-driven insight generation to challenge the first line of defense (LOD) in Collections and Portfolio Management.
• Support second-line Consumer Lending Collections and Portfolio Management Credit Risk and ensure adherence to risk appetite statement (RAS) metrics.
• Monitor operational performance, roll rates, delinquent inventory, and credit loss trends, and communicate these trends to management.
• Review key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of current policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Credit Risk Analytics industry experience with a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Sound understanding of relevant regulations related to lending and collections.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems through structured analytical reasoning.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to communicate analysis findings effectively.
• Proven analytical and data mining skills with proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS; experience with Tableau is a plus.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and standards across the Consumer Life Cycle, particularly in Originations Credit Risk.
• Familiarity with automated monitoring tools and incident remediation.
