About the position
The Manager, Credit Risk Review Technology & Data Management at BMO is responsible for overseeing credit risk oversight, business analytics, data management, and compliance within the Credit Risk Review (CRR) team. This role involves managing technology needs, ensuring data governance, and fostering a strong risk culture while supporting the overall objectives of the Enterprise Risk and Portfolio Management (ERPM) group.
Responsibilities
- Support application and technology needs of CRR review teams.
- Manage specialty databases and datasets for workpapers, findings, and issue remediation.
- Lead SharePoint and RACF administration.
- Foster compliance activities including information security and access management.
- Engage in strategic planning and maintain policies and procedures.
- Conduct operational risk and data governance activities.
- Create and implement an integrated roadmap for data governance.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor data governance policies and procedures.
- Ensure data security, privacy, accuracy, availability, and usability.
- Provide interpretation of enterprise data governance guidelines.
Requirements
- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in data governance and risk management.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Foundational proficiency in information and data strategy and managing change.
- Advanced proficiency in data governance, IT standards, data integrity, and data quality.
- Intermediate proficiency in privacy governance technology enablement and enterprise data management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaboration and team skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and influence skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with SharePoint and RACF administration.
- Knowledge of metadata management and master data management.
