About the position

The Manager of Customer Supply Chain Solutions (CSCS) is responsible for developing tailored supply chain strategies for specific customer market segments, including Restaurant, Foodservice Management, and Healthcare/Retail/Travel. This role aims to enhance Sysco's sales opportunities and profitability while ensuring mutual benefits for customers. The Manager will collaborate with various internal teams and customers to optimize supply chain processes and deliver effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and deliverables for assigned customer market segment including RFP proposal response and supply chain optimization initiatives.
  • Develop assumptions, timelines, and targeted deliverables based on customer-specific opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales organization to understand customer needs and translate them into effective supply chain strategies.
  • Manage project priorities, timelines, and quality of deliverables from the assigned team.
  • Develop segment-specific expertise and applicable strategies in collaboration with sales, operations, merchandise, and finance.
  • Train and develop less experienced team members.
  • Provide thought leadership on distribution strategies that enhance supply chain performance.
  • Incorporate a holistic view of supply chain in solution development, considering costs and service requirements.
  • Utilize problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve customer supply chain issues.
  • Lead the development of customer management reporting tools to monitor performance and identify improvement areas.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience with a BS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a distribution/transportation/delivery environment.
  • 2 years of project management experience required.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain tools such as I2 Strategist, Llamasoft, Roadnet Territory Planner, TMS.
  • Computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the distribution or food industry preferred.
