About the position

As a Product Owner supporting the Security Testing Program, you will be responsible for driving the strategic agenda for core cyber products, ensuring meaningful progress for customers and the business. This role involves translating product vision into actionable delivery objectives, providing customer-informed guidance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable features that enhance cybersecurity capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate the delivery roadmap to technology teams by inspiring them through the product vision.
  • Clearly articulate and advocate for target personas, customer benefits, and the value of features across teams.
  • Leverage technical knowledge to support engineering teams in delivering value.
  • Utilize a strong cybersecurity background to represent the voice of the customer to engineering teams.
  • Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design.
  • Participate in research or design sessions for new features.
  • Contribute to the development of a healthy product backlog, collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Lead internal backlog refinement sessions to prepare business epics and stories for technical breakdown and planning.
  • Prioritize the Product Backlog to maximize business and customer outcomes while balancing technical and non-technical aspects.
  • Act as a technical advisor to the product manager, engineering, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across multiple cross-functional teams and the Product Owner community.
  • Support teams through escalation and resolution of impediments.
  • Drive performance and innovation with data-driven insights.
  • Proactively identify opportunities when key metrics on security, resilience, and performance are not performing well.
  • Maintain technical and risk credibility with teams and partners.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification.
  • At least 4 years of experience working in cybersecurity or information technology.
  • At least 2 years of experience in product management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of experience solving cyber technical challenges.
  • 5+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into products.
  • 2+ years of Cyber product owner experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing.
  • 2+ years of hands-on JIRA experience.
  • Experience in regulated financial services organizations or tech companies.
  • 2 or more professional certifications (SAFe PM/PO, CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CCSP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Security).
  • 1+ year of experience in application security, vulnerability management, and cloud workload protection.
