About the position

The Manager of Cyber Security Operations at Wendy's is responsible for overseeing the 24/7 cyber security activities for the brand. This role involves leading a team focused on threat detection, threat hunting, and threat intelligence, while collaborating with a third-party Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure effective security measures. The position also includes managing escalated incidents, coordinating responses to cyber threats, and ensuring compliance with information security regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of the Security Operations team and infrastructure.
  • Enhance the company's threat detection, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and incident response capabilities.
  • Manage external relationships with strategic partners.
  • Manage operational costs and contribute to the annual budgeting process.
  • Provide foundational security services to the Wendy's franchise system.
  • Direct and oversee cyber incident response for the Wendy's system as a core member of the Incident Response Team (IRT).
  • Act as the liaison between the technical response team and IT senior leadership during incidents.
  • Review, update, and ensure compliance with Wendy's Information Security Incident Management Playbooks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or MIS preferred.
  • 8 - 10 years of Information Technology/Information Security experience.
  • Strong background in threat detection, threat intelligence, and threat hunting.
  • Experience with enterprise security tools such as SIEMs, EDR, Threat Intelligence Platforms, and email security gateways.
  • Knowledge of digital forensic investigation/analysis and advanced incident handling.
  • Experience with the functions and management of SIEM, EDR, ESG, and TIP tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Industry-specific certification from SANS/GIAC, ISC2, etc.
  • Experience working for a globally distributed retail organization.
  • Experience with Microsoft Security tools such as Sentinel and Defender.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced incident investigation techniques.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations in the retail sector.
