We encourage innovation and expect you to take ownership and initiative. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to drive Technology direction for T-Mobile USA. The Manager of Cybersecurity will facilitate security related interactions with business partners, OEMs, and service partners. Integration with the cybersecurity community internal to T-Mobile and external with partners such as government, industry, and security organizations is necessary. This person will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, superb communication skills, and effectively manage the time and effort of all individual contributors, projects, and associated initiatives. A solid understanding of security technologies, architecture, and standard processes will be critical to the success of this role. The team maintains corporate data network security infrastructure and provides information security based on the enforcement of the T-Mobile security policies. They coordinate Incident Response, conduct Vulnerability Assessments, install security patches, operate Intrusion Prevention Systems, correlate security related data across the enterprise, administer Firewalls and other access control points, and maintain Anti-Virus systems. The team also assists application owners to understand and implement the security aspects of their applications and advises on best security practices for new company projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals to drive the evolution and expansion of T-Mobile's Network.
  • Facilitate security-related interactions with business partners, OEMs, and service partners.
  • Coordinate Incident Response and conduct Vulnerability Assessments.
  • Install security patches and operate Intrusion Prevention Systems.
  • Administer Firewalls and maintain Anti-Virus systems.
  • Assist application owners in understanding and implementing security aspects of their applications.
  • Develop strategy, roadmap, and requirements for enterprise information protection.
  • Mentor analysts and engineers to promote successful performance and career growth.
  • Manage technical relationships with assigned vendors and drive feature requests for product releases.
  • Set goals and objectives for the team that align with the strategic goals of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity technical experience.
  • Less than 2 years of management leadership experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of security standard processes in large-scale environments.
  • Experience with incident handling for security breaches.
  • Strong presentation skills to large and small audiences.
  • Domain expert in network & information security, including Firewall policy design and vulnerability analysis.
  • Knowledge of federal & compliance regulations e.g. SOX, PCI & CPNI.
  • 3 years of Technical Project Management experience (Preferred).
  • Familiarity with load balancers, firewalls, cloud services, and malware protection (Preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • CISSP and/or CCSK and/or CCSP and/or CISA/CISM certification (Preferred).
  • Medium to advanced knowledge of Scripting tools (Python/Perl/Shell/HTML/PHP).
