About the position

The Manager, Data Analytics and Insights at CSL Plasma plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence through data analysis and insights. This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing both current and historical data to identify strategic and operational trends that can lead to significant improvements in business results. The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, employing continuous improvement methodologies to tackle complex systemic problems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying threats and opportunities that can enhance operational efficiency, such as cost per liter, process improvements, and quality enhancements. In addition to data analysis, the manager will oversee the development of user-friendly dashboards that monitor key performance metrics, ensuring that all projects are executed according to established milestones and value targets. Collaboration with Operational Excellence colleagues is essential, as the manager will provide support and resources for data analysis initiatives. The role also involves ensuring the accuracy of calculations and the realization of financial benefits from improvement initiatives, as well as developing policies and procedures that promote operational efficiency. The manager will stay informed about industry changes and best practices, benchmarking data to ensure that CSL Plasma operates at maximum effectiveness. This position requires planning and implementing process improvement activities that align with CSL and industry best practices. The manager will also establish and monitor key performance indicators, coordinate project activities across the global CSL network, and coach team members on re-engineering techniques to drive improvements. Overall, this role is pivotal in enhancing performance, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and analyzes current and historical data to identify strategic and operational trends and insights.
  • Identifies threats and opportunities for continuous improvement that will positively impact business results.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams using continuous improvement methodologies and tools to solve complex systemic problems.
  • Ensures projects are rolled out and delivered according to milestones, value targets, and other relevant factors.
  • Evaluates reports and data sources and directs the creation of user-friendly OE dashboards to manage and monitor key performance metrics.
  • Collaborates with Operational Excellence colleagues on data analysis and provides resources and team support.
  • Provides data support to ensure accuracy in calculations and realization of financial benefits from improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborates with process teams to elicit and understand requirements and challenges, developing analytical insights from data.
  • Develops and/or coordinates improved policies, methods, procedures, instructions, and forms to achieve greater operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develops, inspects, mines, transforms, and models data to raise productivity, improve decision-making, and gain competitive advantage.
  • Stays up to date on business process and industry changes, benchmarking data to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data.
  • Plans and implements process improvement activities in support of CSL and industry best practices.
  • Supports, leads, and coordinates projects to improve performance, quality, efficiency, and/or cost.
  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators.
  • Coordinates site-wide project activities with other sites/functions in the global CSL network.
  • Coaches on the use of re-engineering techniques to drive improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in process management.
  • Demonstrated success in project management and continuous improvement processes.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Six sigma certification/training.
