About the position

Philabundance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to oversee our cloud-based CERES system and build and manage a data warehouse. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure, a strong understanding of CERES applications, and a proven track record in data warehousing. This role involves leading a team of IT professionals, ensuring the stability and security of the cloud infrastructure, and driving continuous improvement in our CERES system and data warehouse. In this position, you will lead and manage the IT team responsible for the CERES system and data warehouse in the cloud. You will provide mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations for team members while developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Application Development department. You will oversee the administration, maintenance, and support of the CERES system hosted on Microsoft Azure, ensuring the system's availability, performance, and security. Additionally, you will design, build, and manage a cloud-based data warehouse, coordinating with vendors and service providers for cloud services and support. Security and compliance are critical aspects of this role. You will implement and maintain security protocols and policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will also plan and execute projects related to the CERES system and data warehouse, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations, while collaborating with other departments to align IT projects with organizational goals. Continuous improvement is a key focus, as you will identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the CERES system and data warehouse. Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, IT management, and data warehousing is essential. You will provide training and support to end-users to maximize the systems' effectiveness and oversee data integration, ETL processes, and data quality management for the data warehouse, ensuring it supports business intelligence and analytics needs. You will also address technical issues and provide Level 2/3 support for the CERES system and data warehouse, coordinating with the helpdesk and other IT teams to resolve user issues. Maintaining thorough documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides will be part of your responsibilities. Strong management of team development, succession planning, consistent performance, rewards, discipline, and training will be required, along with owning all aspects of applications, data analytics, and data integrity. You will be responsible for alignment and adherence with compliance and security, managing the development of the annual budget, including monthly and quarterly reporting processes of program outcomes and measurement, and supporting Philabundance's cultural pillars.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; education or experience equal to a bachelor's degree.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar.
  • Advanced management of team development, succession planning, consistent performance, rewards, discipline, and training as required.
  • Proven organizational and communication skills to guide a team and provide senior leadership with necessary information on an ongoing basis.
  • Successful experience with problem solving and ability to stay nimble in an evolving environment.
  • Proven experience with CERES or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience in designing, building, and managing data warehouses.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration required.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards required.
  • Previous experience owning and influencing a complex process to a positive defined outcome.
  • Ability to manage and achieve on-time delivery standards and quality requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with database management and SQL.
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization.
