About the position

Enbridge has an exciting opportunity for a Data and Systems Manager who will lead the strategy team to transform GTMO, enhancing data-empowered decision-making and unlocking the potential of Artificial Intelligence. In this role, you will collaborate with partners to articulate data and systems ownership and value generation strategy. You will work closely with our partners in TIS to strategize what is possible, feasible, and practical to deliver business value from a technology perspective. Your oversight will include key initiatives at a high level for executive reporting, ensuring that the data strategy aligns with asset performance targets and overall GTM strategic priorities. As the Data and Systems Manager, you will manage the prioritization and development of the GTM Data & Systems Strategy, including program business cases, to ensure that key GTM data is captured, maintained, and readily available for timely decisions while ensuring safety and compliance. You will facilitate and support the rollout of Artificial Intelligence tools to boost GTM productivity, such as CoPilot and the Power Automate platform. Your role will also involve finding opportunities for optimized processes for the collection, maintenance, and integration of GTM data to enhance data-empowered decision-making. You will be responsible for developing the GTMO strategy by considering known data set dependencies and process breakdowns to enhance data confidence and value creation. Additionally, you will provide leadership in the development of the GTMO data sections of executive-level reports and presentations, and support the influence of industry data standards to strengthen our industry regarding the utilization of the best available data, technologies, and processes. As the lead data spokesperson for GTMO data activities and events, you will ensure continuous improvement of the data systems and processes associated with your accountabilities, incorporating learnings and feedback into systems as necessary. Your ability to communicate effectively with leadership partners, facilitate cross-functional meetings, and create key messages for change management will be crucial in enabling the necessary changes for impacted partners.

Responsibilities

  • Align data strategy, plans, projects, and activities with asset performance targets and overall GTM strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate and support the rollout of Artificial Intelligence tools to boost GTM productivity.
  • Identify opportunities for optimized processes for the collection, maintenance, and integration of GTM data.
  • Develop the GTMO strategy considering known data set dependencies and process breakdowns.
  • Provide leadership in the development of executive-level reports and presentations related to GTMO data.
  • Support the influence of industry data standards to enhance data utilization.
  • Serve as the lead data spokesperson for GTMO data activities and events.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of data systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management of Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 10 years of related experience, particularly in Data Systems implementations in an open systems environment.
  • 5 to 8 years of leadership experience with formal leadership training.
  • Proficient in facilitating strategy ideation and development workshops.
  • Hands-on experience in designing at least one Data capability model with defined data owner RACI.
  • Experience in implementing at least one Data maturity model.
  • Field Ops and/or Engineering experience or other pipeline industry-related experience is an asset.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in external partner management through effective engagement.
  • Ability to mentor and support the growth of emerging leaders within the team.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
