About the position

The Manager of Data Engineering will lead a team responsible for developing and enhancing data pipelines and database models. This role requires strong communication skills to collaborate with business stakeholders and translate their requirements into technical specifications. The manager will oversee the implementation of data ingestion frameworks and ensure the optimization of SQL performance, all while working within an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data engineering team in creating new data pipelines using existing frameworks and tools.
• Communicate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop and enhance database models and data transformations based on requirements.
• Implement CI/CD practices in data engineering processes.
• Optimize SQL performance and tuning for data queries.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes.
• Proficient in SQL performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with Agile working methodology.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of investments data in the financial services domain.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Bitbucket Cloud.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
