About the position

The Data Operations Manager at Intuitive is responsible for managing and optimizing data collection, ingestion, and preparation processes to ensure data accuracy and accessibility for analysis. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in business metrics and customer experience, requiring a strong understanding of both technical and strategic data management aspects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient data ingestion workflows to capture data from various sources.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for seamless data flow and transformation.
• Collaborate with EA and IT teams to implement secure data storage solutions for scalable access.
• Oversee data cleaning, transformation, and enrichment processes to ensure data quality.
• Implement data validation checks to guarantee data integrity and accuracy.
• Work closely with data scientists to understand their data requirements and adjust operations accordingly.
• Stay updated on new data management technologies to improve data preparation processes.
• Train and manage a team of data engineers and analysts in best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years' experience in Data warehouse and Business Intelligence development.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Database development on Snowflake, SQL server, or Oracle platforms.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in designing, building, and implementing ETL processes using SQL, TSQL, Python, and Airflow.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in data warehousing and ELT development on the Snowflake platform.
• Experience with data pipelines from SAP, Salesforce, and Cloud applications.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with git and version control.
• Ability to use APIs to fetch data from different sources.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills for customer-facing roles.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Python for data ingestion and processing.
• Experience visualizing data in business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Business Objects.
• 2+ years of experience managing or leading other Data Engineers.
