Manager, Data Engineering

About the position

The position requires core technical skills in Big Data technologies such as HDFS, Hive, Spark, HDP/CDP, ETL pipeline, SQL, Ranger, Python, and Databricks. Familiarity with Cloud services, preferably both AWS and Azure, is essential, including S3/ADLS, Delta Lake, KeyVault, Hashicorp, and Splunk. The candidate should have knowledge of Data Quality & Governance and hands-on experience with tools like DataIku or Dremio. The role involves leading projects, ensuring timely status reporting, and managing smooth release processes to deliver projects on time.

Responsibilities

• Development, testing, and support required for the project.
• Lead the team to achieve outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles.
• Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.
• Serve as a Director of the Board and exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors.
• Embed the Group's brand and values in the team.
• Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
• Analysis, Development, Testing and Support, Leading the team, Release management.

Requirements

• Core technical skills in Hadoop, SQL, HDFS, Spark, Hive, Pyspark, ETL Process.
• Experience with ADO & Confluence.
• Expertise in SQL and familiarity with Dremio and Dataiku.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Data Quality & Governance.
• Hands-on experience with DataIku or similar tools.
