About the position

The position involves managing the overall data platform and infrastructure while mentoring a team of data engineers. The role focuses on developing processes, expanding the technology roadmap, planning features, measuring outputs, and ensuring the delivery of quality data products. The individual will also derive analytical insights from various business contexts and communicate these insights effectively to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design and development of software and processes to support large scale, efficient data pipelines.
  • Translate technical business goals and requirements into designs utilizing best practice design patterns.
  • Manage the planning, prioritization, and execution of data production projects and processes.
  • Develop standards and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality data products.
  • Participate in code reviews and lead technical discussions, maintaining agile processes for the data team.
  • Oversee the automation of key ETL/ELT and quality assurance processes for large volumes of data.
  • Monitor data governance, data quality, integrity, standards, and business intelligence/analytics.
  • Contribute to decisions on key technology choices for scalable and secure data pipelines.
  • Allocate resources to meet operating objectives and foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of Agile Software Development and Scrum.
  • Experience with ETL processes and SQL programming language.
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, cloud-based data processes, and business intelligence.
  • Experience in enterprise-level data governance, integrity, quality, and master data management.
