This role is pivotal in promoting progress and inspiring clients, employees, investors, and communities to achieve their greatest potential. The Manager will work closely with underwriters, claim leaders, actuaries, data engineers, and data scientists to understand visualization requirements and build wireframes that meet business needs. The primary responsibilities include developing reporting solutions that provide underwriting and claims leaders visibility into key metrics such as submissions, quotes, bounds, and loss ratios. The Manager will also be responsible for creating dashboards for various predictive models tailored for different business units, enabling users to make informed decisions based on the scores and underlying variables presented. Additionally, the role involves developing a workflow tool to capture user inputs within the visualization tool for claims handlers, thereby enhancing claims management processes. The Manager will build BI automation workflows to deliver key insights in the form of pixel-perfect PDFs, PPTs, and Excel reports via email, while also minimizing manual tasks through automation. Building data pipelines to pull data from various on-premises and cloud sources for reporting is essential, as is optimizing data models and dashboards to ensure near real-time data availability and improved user experience. The role also includes maintaining a backlog of enhancements for existing reports and meeting with business leaders to deliver key insights based on data analysis. Furthermore, the Manager will develop visualization best practices for the team and implement CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps and GitHub for the visualization project. Building proofs of concept (POCs) to explore new features, tools, and technologies will also be part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with underwriters, claim leaders, actuaries, data engineers, and data scientists to understand visualization requirements and build wireframes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as BI Developer, Data Analytics Engineer or related position.
  • 5 years of experience in Power BI.
  • 5 years of experience working on cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • 5 years of experience in Power Query and DAX.
  • 5 years of experience in building complex data models (Star Schema/Snowflake Schema) in the visualization tool.
  • 5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries to pull data into the visualization tool and for querying data for analysis purposes.
  • 3 years of experience in Paginated Reports/SSRS.
  • 3 years of experience in Power Automate (MS Flow & Power Apps).
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as BI Developer, Data Analytics Engineer or related position.
