About the position
The Manager, Database Marketing and Communications at Centene Corporation is responsible for developing and overseeing the strategy, content, and implementation of various communication channels including email, text, and direct mail. This role acts as a strategic consultant for different departments aiming to effectively reach members, providers, brokers, and other audiences with targeted information. The manager will collaborate with Member Services and IT to create audience-appropriate communications, ensuring campaigns are comprehensive and data-driven.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the strategy, content, and implementation of email, text, and direct mail communications.
- Act as a business partner and strategic consultant for departments targeting members and other audiences.
- Collaborate with Member Services and IT to create appropriate communications.
- Coordinate new and ongoing projects with a strong attention to detail.
- Manage comprehensive campaigns, focusing on timing, trackable data, and content design.
- Support ongoing multi-team initiatives with limited supervision on complex projects.
- Review content for audience appropriateness and engagement potential, providing suggestions for improvement.
- Oversee the activities of a Communications Analyst and make strategic decisions regarding campaign design.
Requirements
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, or English preferred.
- 5+ years of communications experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience managing comprehensive communications campaigns, including email and SMS.
- Experience with data management and analysis.
- Direct mail experience is a plus.
- Salesforce and ExactTarget experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
