Terumo Medical Corporation (TMC) is seeking a Manager for DC Inventory Control who will play a pivotal role in overseeing inventory management across multiple distribution center locations. This position is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory processes, which directly impacts the company's ability to deliver high-quality medical devices to healthcare providers. The Manager will provide regional guidance, training, and direction for inventory control, inventory process management, inventory audits, cycle counts, and reporting metrics. This role requires a proactive approach to lead teams across the distribution network, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively and that all operational goals are met. In this position, the Manager will lead efforts to enhance both in-house and in-field inventory accuracy by collaborating closely with DC Operations, Commercial, and Customer Care personnel. The role involves supervising and training Inventory Control and Receiving personnel, ensuring their development throughout the full associate life cycle. The Manager will identify and resolve issues affecting inbound and outbound operations, coordinate daily physical cycle counts, and conduct regular inventory analyses to address any discrepancies. Additionally, the Manager will monitor and analyze demand, document inventory characteristics, and ensure compliance with SOX and KPMG Inventory Management Audits. The successful candidate will be responsible for all inventory-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and will provide monthly and quarterly inventory aging reports by business units. This position requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to inspire teams to achieve breakthrough results. The Manager must be adept at handling conflict and pressure, making optimal decisions rapidly, and effectively communicating and implementing changes to drive improvements and results. Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies is highly desirable, as is prior experience in logistics and distribution operations within a pharmaceutical or medical device facility.
