About the position

The Manager Global Data Standards - Delivery Management is responsible for overseeing a team of Therapy Area Leads and Data Standards Specialists within the Global Data Management & Standards organization. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring project delivery aligns with organizational goals, and fostering career development and performance management for team members. The Manager will also engage with key stakeholders to drive improvements in quality and efficiency while maintaining compliance with clinical data standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of a team of Therapy Area Leads and Data Standards Specialists.
  • Manage employee performance, career development, and organizational talent planning.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and selection of new hires.
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with established guidelines and targets.
  • Drive timely delivery of quality standards and governance data management deliverables.
  • Engage with key customers and stakeholders to identify value-creating opportunities.
  • Collect and maintain data-driven delivery and operational metrics.
  • Support audits and inspections as required.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in life sciences, information technology, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in clinical development or clinical data management.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in direct-line people management.
  • Experience managing clinical data management processes such as eCRF design and clinical database development.
  • Strong knowledge of the Drug Discovery Process, ICH, and GCP guidelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to set priorities and mentor colleagues in project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of industry standards such as CDISC CDASH, SDTM, ADaM, and HL7.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to drive results in a global environment.
  • Experience building and developing an organization.
