About the position

The Manager Designate is a leadership role that operates under the supervision of the General Manager, focusing on compliance with product and customer service standards. This position is designed to develop the necessary competencies to eventually become a General Manager, emphasizing teamwork, quality decision-making, and accountability among team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with product and customer service standards.
• Manage shift operations and execution of company policies and procedures.
• Train and promote quality standards to team members using available tools.
• Recommend performance actions regarding team members to the General Manager.
• Build a quality and customer-focused team atmosphere.
• Manage sales goals through prompt and friendly customer service.
• Seek additional sales through creative local marketing efforts.
• Manage profit goals and ensure controllable costs stay within budget.
• Execute administrative and cash management duties.
• Plan and manage inventory levels to meet sales demands and minimize loss.
• Ensure the restaurant is clean, fully equipped, and meets safety and security standards.

Requirements

• Experience in a leadership role within a restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of customer service and quality standards.
• Ability to manage sales and profit goals effectively.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
