About the position

The DevOps Manager at Concentra is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of build and deployment pipelines, cloud systems engineering, and development support tools. This role involves managing a team that maintains secure and scalable software systems, reduces inefficiencies in DevOps processes, and supports application development. The manager collaborates with senior leaders to implement best practices and leads the team in adopting Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code methodologies. Additionally, the DevOps Manager is tasked with creating tools for productivity and ensuring effective monitoring and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of tools and automated workflow capabilities to enable application development teams to test and promote code.
• Build, configure, and maintain frameworks, tools, and systems for optimal software performance.
• Design and implement real-time monitoring for relevant systems.
• Collaborate with Application Development and Operations teams on technical operations.
• Improve health and performance issues of Concentra software systems with DevOps personnel.
• Oversee, coach, guide, and mentor DevOps personnel in skill development and career goals.
• Create and implement roadmaps for maturing the DevOps practice, focusing on Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• At least 7 years of combined IT experience, including 3+ years of hands-on development experience, 1+ year of management experience, and 2+ years of DevOps experience.
• Experience with large heterogeneous enterprise environments.
• Ability to navigate cloud-based architectures and solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code systems, such as Terraform.
• Experience with Configuration as Code systems, such as Ansible, Puppet, etc.
• Experience with containers or Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies.
• Experience in healthcare preferred.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence preferred.
• Experience with Unix system administration preferred.
