About the position

The Manager of Retail Pharmacy Services at Mercy Hospital is responsible for coordinating and implementing pharmacy services across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting patient safety through effective medication management. This role involves collaboration with medical staff to develop pharmaceutical protocols and manage resources efficiently to meet financial goals. The manager will also oversee specialty pharmacy services and marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement Retail Pharmacy Services at assigned locations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in pharmacy services.
• Identify and resolve drug-related problems to enhance patient safety.
• Collaborate with medical staff to design and implement pharmaceutical protocols.
• Manage systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through safe medication therapy.
• Utilize resources efficiently to meet productivity and financial goals.
• Support the 340B drug program effectively.
• Coordinate specialty pharmacy services with other pharmacy managers.
• Design and implement marketing programs to attract and maintain customer business.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in an ambulatory/retail pharmacy setting.
• 3 years of management experience in pharmacy services.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• State Board of Pharmacy Medication Therapy Services Certificate where applicable.
• Possess or be eligible for current applicable state Pharmacist Licensure(s).
