About the position

Stanford Health Care (SHC) is seeking a Manager for Digital Health Product Management to join our innovative team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of digital health at SHC, which is one of the four strategic domains of the organization. The Digital Health team is dedicated to enhancing patient access to care through cutting-edge technology and innovative digital solutions. The Manager will report directly to the Director of Digital Health Product Management and will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for driving the strategic direction of digital health initiatives. In this position, the Manager will help define a winning product management strategy for Digital Health. This includes ensuring that the SHC myHealth platform remains the best in the industry by providing patients with a seamless and personalized digital experience. The Manager will introduce new and innovative products and offerings in Digital Health, define a product roadmap, and prioritize new feature development in collaboration with the Software Engineering team. Additionally, the role involves translating patient needs into product requirements, leveraging insights from the Digital Health Design Thinking team, and collaborating with various internal teams such as Strategy, Alliances, and Innovation to drive external innovation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product management, with at least five years of experience in bringing new customer-facing applications and digital experiences to market. They will have significant experience collaborating with software engineering teams and a proven track record of growing revenue from technology products or services. The Manager will also need to demonstrate strong influencing skills and organizational savvy to navigate the complexities of a matrixed environment, ensuring that technology is effectively integrated into operations. A deep understanding of the US healthcare landscape and a vision for the role of digital technology in its transformation are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Define a winning product management strategy for Digital Health.
  • Ensure the SHC myHealth platform provides a cutting-edge, seamless, and personalized digital experience.
  • Introduce new and innovative products and offerings in Digital Health.
  • Define a product roadmap and prioritize new feature development in collaboration with Software Engineering.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, design, or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree is a must.
  • Five (5) years of directly related work experience in product management with a track record of bringing new customer-facing applications to market.
  • Significant experience collaborating with software engineering to introduce new products to market and define product roadmaps.
  • Expertise in translating customer needs into compelling digital experiences.
  • Experience in growing revenue from technology products or technology-enabled services.
  • Strong influencing skills and organizational savvy to execute in a complex matrixed environment.
  • Track record of developing, motivating, and retaining a strong team by demonstrating and setting high standards of behavior and performance.
  • Understanding of the complexity of the current US healthcare environment with a strong vision for digital technology's role in its future transformation.
  • Motivated self-starter who can work collaboratively and independently.
