About the position

The Manager, Digital Marketing Strategy & Automation at Marathon Health is responsible for advancing the company's digital patient engagement efforts. This role involves creating new patient journeys, implementing multi-channel campaign strategies, and focusing on attribution reporting to refine the digital marketing strategy. The position requires a hands-on approach to managing email and SMS marketing campaigns, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring brand compliance in communications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate email and SMS marketing requests and tasks through an associated intake system.
  • Lead email campaign design and development in coordination with other teams in the organization.
  • Identify and develop audiences for campaigns and automated journeys.
  • Develop strategies for new automated, multi-channel journeys and help design and deploy them.
  • Coordinate and deliver multi-touchpoint custom campaigns for clients using email and SMS best practices.
  • Own the process and adoption of email marketing tools throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and document scalable email and SMS processes and systems.
  • Maintain QA process to ensure all communications are brand compliant.
  • Design robust A/B test processes and reporting to consistently improve communications.
  • Identify enhancements needed to decrease opt-out rate and increase email performance.
  • Stay up to date on email and SMS trends and best practices as well as new feature releases for Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Assist the Director of Digital Engagement Marketing in advancing marketing attribution capabilities through UTM parameters and tracking codes.
  • Update and manage client web pages and redirects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in email marketing.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in SMS marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on technical experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud using AMP script and SQL.
  • Experience designing, developing, and releasing multi-channel journeys through Salesforce Marketing Cloud Journey Builder.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience creating and managing highly personalized, data-driven email and SMS content.
  • Experience creating target audiences via SQL and filtered Data Extensions from multiple related datasets.
  • Working knowledge of responsive design, HTML, CSS, Excel, and Google Analytics.
  • Knowledge of Stensul preferred.
  • Experience creating assets for email in Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience with campaign setup, audience segmentation using 'and/or' statement clauses, email deployment, HTML editing, delivery monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience updating webpages via CMS.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to effectively QA campaigns before deployment.
  • Ability to think creatively and initiate innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy regulations and how they impact the digital marketing landscape.
