About the position

The Manager of Digital Marketing and Strategy at Roc Nation plays a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of a diverse roster of artists. This position is responsible for executing promotional campaigns, designing creative marketing plans, and managing digital retail merchandising. The role involves daily management of social media and web platforms, ensuring effective communication between artists, managers, and partners, and leveraging data to evaluate campaign success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute digital marketing/sales and content distribution strategies for clients.
  • Prepare pitches to key digital retail, mobile, and online promotional partners to secure retail campaigns and marketing opportunities for releases.
  • Support and manage relationships with key digital partner accounts.
  • Liaise with label distribution partners to execute digital sales plans and marketing initiatives.
  • Produce and post digital content, including text, images, and videos.
  • Liaise with artists and their teams to develop artist-generated content.
  • Support and manage new artist site builds and launches.
  • Maintain and update artist sites, social media profiles, and Roc Nation properties.
  • Grow artist awareness, site traffic, and content syndication through various marketing strategies.
  • Liaison with the Data team to compile and distribute regular reports to internal teams.
  • Utilize data to evaluate campaign efficacy and determine areas of opportunity for growth.
  • Work with Roc Nation's marketing team to execute content release campaigns and tour promotions.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience managing digital distribution and social platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of and passion for the music market.
  • In-depth understanding of social media platforms, industry trends, and digital music services.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write under pressure for multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a track record of building strong business relationships.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and be accountable while being a collaborative team player.
  • Experience running reports and exporting data from Google Analytics, email service providers, and CRM systems.
  • Experience with social management and listening platforms.
  • Experience with content management systems, especially Wordpress.
  • Knowledge of basic audio, photo, and video editing programs.
