About the position

The Digital Advertising Manager at LEARFIELD's News and Agriculture division plays a pivotal role in leading the Digital Marketing team, focusing on the fulfillment, reporting, and analysis of marketing campaigns. This position is integral to the operations of the division, which provides unique agricultural content and innovative marketing solutions to connect brands with farmers, ranchers, and rural consumers across the Midwest. The manager will oversee complex projects and initiatives, ensuring that the digital marketing function aligns with the overall strategic goals of the organization. In this role, the Digital Advertising Manager will develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies, particularly for internal communication plans. The manager will cultivate advanced stakeholder relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to the marketing team, leadership, and clients on various digital marketing strategy topics. Participation in cross-functional meetings is essential, as the manager will bring a specialized digital advertising perspective to discussions. The manager will lead the digital team in ideation processes aimed at enhancing client brand awareness and engagement through effective content development and distribution across multiple marketing platforms. Responsibilities also include the creation of marketing collateral such as case studies, proposals, and RFP responses, as well as conducting market research to identify trends and opportunities for expansion. The manager will actively share insights on campaign performance and serve as a resource for both internal teams and clients regarding digital marketing strategies. Additionally, the Digital Advertising Manager will oversee the scheduling, implementation, management, and optimization of social media and digital marketing campaigns, ensuring that performance reports are developed and adjustments are made as necessary to meet campaign goals. This role also includes providing digital support for news staff and managing social media accounts for various division entities, along with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the digital marketing function through complex projects and initiatives.
  • Develop, execute, and lead the digital marketing strategy of internal communication plans.
  • Develop and maintain advanced stakeholder relationships and serve as an advisor on digital marketing strategy topics.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, providing a specialized digital advertising perspective.
  • Lead digital team members in ideation for increasing client brand awareness and engagement across marketing platforms.
  • Develop marketing collateral, including case studies, proposals, and RFP responses.
  • Conduct market research to identify current trends and opportunities for expansion.
  • Develop case studies and share summaries of campaign performance and insights.
  • Serve as the internal and client resource for digital marketing strategy and identify new advertising opportunities.
  • Provide copywriting and web design/maintenance for various projects.
  • Schedule, implement, manage, and optimize social media and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Develop campaign performance reports and track necessary adjustments to meet campaign impressions.
  • Oversee social media accounts for various division entities.
  • Provide digital support for news staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in advertising or a closely related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in digital advertising and managing employees.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with programmatic display, paid social, and/or paid search.
  • Familiarity with business applications of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and others.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suites and Microsoft Office.
  • Some experience in developing ad graphics, editing video and audio.
  • Excellent grasp of digital and social media advertising principles.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing research, statistical analysis, and basic media math.
  • Proficiency in web design and knowledge of WordPress web hosting platform.
