About the position

The Digital Marketing Manager position at Essex Property Trust is designed to enhance and optimize the company's digital presence through effective website management and digital campaigns. Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through executive-level presentations.
  • Lead collaboration with marketing and IT teams to align digital strategies, including website development and roadmap execution.
  • Manage marketing budgets, review and partner with external vendors, and stay informed on industry trends and best practices.
  • Administer the Sitecore CMS for ongoing website updates and maintenance, including cross-training of teams.
  • Monitor website performance metrics, troubleshoot technical issues, and create SOPs for team members.
  • Regularly update website content to ensure it is current, accurate, and engaging.
  • Implement SEO best practices, conduct keyword research, and optimize website navigation and layout.
  • Optimize the customer journey and user experience across digital touchpoints using data and feedback.
  • Collaborate with web development to design, create, and optimize landing pages.
  • Generate detailed performance reports for advertising performance, including PPC and ILS campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in website management and development within a related industry or multi-location enterprise organization.
  • Expert knowledge of Content Management Systems, particularly Sitecore.
  • High proficiency in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO and applied tactical strategies to enhance organic traffic.
  • Proficiency in creating website design layouts using FIGMA and Adobe Suite.
  • 2-5 years of experience managing third-party vendors and leading project teams.
  • 2-5 years of direct report management experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's or advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in multifamily and real estate sectors preferred.
  • Certifications in Google Ads, Google Analytics, or relevant SEO tools.
