About the position

The Digital Marketing Manager at Universal Music Group will oversee and manage day-to-day digital marketing campaigns and strategies for a diverse roster of artists. This role involves building relationships with artists, managers, and key label executives to implement innovative digital marketing ideas that enhance audience engagement and visibility for the artists and their music-related products.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day digital marketing campaigns and strategies for artists.
  • Collaborate with artists, managers, and label executives to build trusting relationships.
  • Work with social partners to implement online content that grows audience engagement.
  • Provide ideas for websites, contests, and media promotions to maximize artist visibility online.
  • Build and maintain relationships with social and digital media partners, including cultural influencers.
  • Identify and drive new technology experiences for creative online campaigns.
  • Communicate and collaborate across various departments including Marketing, Sales, and A&R.
  • Conceive, budget, and execute visual content creation for social channels and paid media campaigns.
  • Schedule and publish social content across owned media and controlled social channels.
  • Develop creative assets such as images, video edits, and animations.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in music marketing, ideally at a record label or music distribution company.
  • Experience in forming strategic marketing partnerships with social platforms and influencers.
  • Existing relationships with digital platforms and online partners is a plus.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for design and a strategic marketer.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of standard office programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Premiere or Final Cut) and mobile editing software.
  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Experience with digital marketing analytics tools and streaming/music consumption tools.
  • Not afraid of a challenge or working with big personalities and multiple teams.
