About the position

The Manager - Digital Product Management role at American Express focuses on leading transformation activities and building capabilities within the Enterprise Platforms Loyalty and Benefits organization. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to define business needs, frame strategy, create and own the product roadmap, and effectively communicate at all levels. The role also involves managing a product backlog and leading a Product Owner, ensuring agile practices are followed throughout the delivery process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead transformation activities and build capabilities with peer product managers across the Offers domain.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and business partners to define business needs and frame strategy.
  • Create and own the product roadmap, executing and delivering on priorities.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Manage a product backlog of features and capabilities, refining and prioritizing in collaboration with business teams.
  • Participate in and support agile practices and ceremonies to reinforce the agile transformation of the delivery team.
  • Build a robust understanding of Amex Offers and the competitive landscape.
  • Communicate and build consensus across multiple teams to create solutions to business needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a product owner/manager.
  • Experience in communicating and influencing at senior leadership levels.
  • Experience in building large-scale, high-performance backend solutions preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies and IT project management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to consult with various stakeholders.
  • Strong problem structuring and solving skills, combined with strong business acumen.
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks.
  • Knowledge of Change Management practices is desirable.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
