This position is designed for a strong candidate with a background in data management and governance, who can collaborate effectively across various teams to define and deliver a comprehensive product roadmap. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with data governance policies, automating data management routines, and supporting the effective organization and governance of Amex data at scale. In this role, you will exemplify strong data governance product experience, focusing on harvesting data dictionaries, lineage, catalogs, and data quality. You will define product strategies and automation frameworks for system integrations, enhancing user experience through a unified portal and addressing various data governance and management needs. Your extensive experience in technology partnerships will be crucial, as you will need to understand tech stacks such as Java, Python, Spark, and Scala, as well as database systems like SQL and NoSQL. You will translate product vision and roadmap into well-defined product requirements, user stories, and acceptance test criteria. Managing the Enterprise Data Management will require balancing the needs of various partners, coordinating communications, and facilitating the resolution of risks and issues tied to the product backlog. Post-launch, you will continually improve products by prioritizing bugs and feature requests based on customer satisfaction. Your active participation in all phases of the Agile product delivery process will be essential, as will your ability to conduct tool evaluations and proof-of-concepts for Enterprise Data Management solutions. This position is not limited to the aforementioned responsibilities; you will also lead other implementation aspects within the evolving landscape of data governance and regulatory environments. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in product management or development, a proven track record of leading complex products, and a deep understanding of data governance and management concepts.
