Organization Overview: Partner and Product Enablement (PPE) is part of American Express Network and Acquirer Solutions. The team is primarily responsible for customer setups between their network and the American Express network, certifications (host authorizations, submissions, product, terminal, etc.). Our main customers are merchants, processors, network issuers, acquirers, and vendors. The mission of PPE is to ensure our business partners can successfully transact with the American Express Network according to American Express specifications, rules, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize relationships with external suppliers and service providers.
  • Coordinate with various departments to select vendors and sign NDAs.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure PCI compliance.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and address any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams globally to identify vendor requirements.
  • Monitor vendor contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Develop and implement vendor management strategies to streamline processes.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on vendor performance and other key metrics.
  • Issue invoices and ensure timely payments are made.
  • Review PCI documents and manage relationships within PCI and the assessors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in PCI, vendor management, procurement, and/or related role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to vendor management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in procurement or vendor management (desired, but not required).
  • Knowledge of PCI (Payment Card Industry) security standards.
