About the position

The Project Manager leads the execution of cross-functional projects for the Digital and Technology PMO, driving projects through a phase-gate approach. The Project Manager will develop project plans to ensure projects are completed within scope, time, and budget. They will be the champion of the project process and responsible for managing the project team and stakeholders toward fulfilling the mission of each project. The position requires extensive facilitation of and collaboration with the cross-functional groups involved in defining and developing solutions. We are looking for experienced project managers who can support a traditional management approach in digital technology implementations. Strong project scheduling, communication, risk identification and management are necessary for this position. The Project Manager will create, manage and update all forms of documentation (Project Charters, Budget, Risk log, Project Plan, Gantt chart, etc.). While having a background in Agile and a Servant-Leader mentality is helpful, it is not required for this position. MasterBrand primarily uses a traditional waterfall approach to project management but is also utilizing the Scrum framework supporting projects where requirements are not as well defined. A background in project management in merger & acquisition technology integration is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the project team to plan the dependencies, resources and timelines needed to achieve project goals.
  • Lead cross functional project teams to deliver technical solutions, while ensuring cost, quality, timing, customer expectations and applicable standards are met.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Identify and confirm resources needed for implementation.
  • Manage project dependencies and highlight critical path.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Monitor risk with respect to constraints, timing, quality, and financial aspects of assigned projects ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are developed.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis situations, and devise contingency plans.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Present weekly status reports from the project team to management, highlighting critical path items, achievements, and barriers to progress.
  • Escalate issues appropriately to key leaders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience successfully leading technical projects, preference for those within the structure and formality of a PMO.
  • PMP certification highly desired.
  • Scrum Master certification also a plus.
  • Experience with project management software like MS Project, Project for the Web, Smartsheet, etc.
  • Experience with scrum tools like DevOps, Jira, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Related experience supporting merger and acquisition within technology and integrations preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in Agile and a Servant-Leader mentality is helpful but not required.
