About the position

The Manager, Direct Sales at Ziply Fiber is responsible for building and leading a local sales team focused on residential sales, including door-to-door sales in neighborhoods, multi-dwelling units (MDUs), and small to mid-size businesses. This role involves hiring, training, and managing a team of Direct Sales Account Executives, as well as collaborating with marketing and sales training teams to enhance sales performance and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, onboard, train, support, and manage a high performing sales team of 10+ Direct Sales Account Executives.
  • Facilitate the creation of e-learning and classroom sales training materials in collaboration with the Sales Trainer.
  • Host community building events as new fiber areas and properties are launched.
  • Assist in building new reporting processes for the sales team.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales performance expectations for all sales channels.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance reporting dashboards with the BI team.
  • Create and monitor lead and lag sales performance measurements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on strategy, communication, and collateral material creation and distribution.
  • Track operational expenses, process mileage reimbursements, and payments to community event organizers.
  • Monitor industry developments and apply critical thinking for strategic and customer impact analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree desired, advanced degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of Telecom industry experience.
  • 1+ years of Sales Supervisory experience.
  • Documented record of meeting and exceeding sales performance expectations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Strong financial analysis and project management abilities.
  • Competency in making data-driven business recommendations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel as needed.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
