About the position

The Manager of Electrical Applications Engineering at Raycap Inc. is responsible for leading the applications engineering department, providing technical support to product development and sales teams, and engaging with customers to ensure their needs are met. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering and involves managing a team of technicians, conducting technical audits, and developing customer-driven products. The position is onsite and includes some travel responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Electrical engineering resource for East coast operations and Charleston product development.
  • Support electrical applications technical audits of Charleston facility including customers and UL.
  • Act as a second level contact providing engineering technical support to internal sales first layer technical team.
  • Establish a team of technicians to support production testing and develop product test plans.
  • Engage with customers as necessary to support sales staff during system integration of new products to meet customer needs.
  • Interact with sales staff and customers via phone, video conferencing, and on-site customer meetings.
  • Provide mentoring and support to production technicians.
  • Develop and create customer driven products from inception to completion.
  • Provide technical support to Marketing Department in preparation of marketing materials as needed.
  • Support customer requests for internal testing at Raycap Inc labs.
  • Provide training to customers, sales staff, and company distributors in the application of Raycap products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent experience as a Senior electrical technician.
  • Prior experience in an electrical manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of North American AC power infrastructure.
  • Experience in emerging technologies such as power protection, telecommunications, energy, defense, solar, Battery energy storage (BESS), industrial automation and controls is preferred.
  • Considerable customer interaction experience (phone, video, or in person).
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
