About the position

The position is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales and gross margin rate budgets within the assigned sales territory in the Electrical market. The role involves managing a team of sales representatives and a sales support team, while implementing the district's market plans to meet sales and marketing objectives. The position requires strategic planning, relationship management, and effective team leadership to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop business plans that support the Electrical market within the assigned territory.
• Work with sales personnel to develop tactical plans to implement the district plan.
• Establish annual sales and gross margin rates for market applicable sales reps or other sales personnel within the district.
• Evaluate industry and business trends for potential impact on the district.
• Identify key business opportunities and potential threats within the assigned sales territory.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers.
• Ensure effective recruiting, staffing, employee development, performance management, and succession planning programs are in place.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tools and training programs to support Electrical business growth.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in progressively responsible business or wholesale distribution industry roles.
• High school diploma or GED required; preferred 4-year degree.
• Knowledge of the wholesale distribution industry and the Electrical business.
• Knowledge of financial analysis methods and continuous improvement techniques.

Nice-to-haves

• 9 years' experience in the industry.
