Our diverse, vibrant, and welcoming community is essential in driving our success. We are looking for a motivated and analytical Employee Listening Data Scientist to join our People Analytics team. This role will support the Employee Listening Lead in executing and analyzing employee listening programs, providing advanced analytical insights to enhance the employee experience, and contributing to the overall people analytics strategy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, strong analytical skills, and a desire to learn and grow in the field of employee listening and people analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, programming, and administration of employee listening programs, including surveys, focus groups, and other feedback mechanisms.
  • Design and implement listening solutions and surveys, ensuring reliability, sampling and scaling techniques, and minimizing response bias.
  • Analyze employee feedback data and people/business data using statistical software, data visualization tools, and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Work with stakeholders and analytics peers to identify the right objective and propose appropriate listening and analytical solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports and presentations to communicate insights to various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Monitor and flag data quality (integrity, accuracy, and security) and seek ways to continuously improve analytical processes.
  • Monitor and report on trends and best practices in employee listening and analytics.
  • Collaborate with the People Team to integrate employee feedback into talent programs and initiatives.
  • Participate in training and mentorship opportunities to develop skills in data science and analytics.

Requirements

  • Early-to-mid career professional with a degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of customer-facing business analyst or consulting experience required, HR experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, R, SQL, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with survey design and analysis, including reliability, scaling techniques, and response bias.
  • Experience with the Qualtrics Employee Experience platform or similar employee listening suites.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for learning and applying new skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience using Tableau, R, SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint, specifically related to working with large data sets to visualize data, glean trends, and build analyses and insights.
  • Advanced analytical skills for survey data, including factor analysis, correlation analysis, regression (multinomial & binomial logistic, OLS), structured equation models, and statistical hypothesis testing.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, programming, and administering large employee listening surveys or initiatives.
