As the Manager - Employee Relations at Bally's Chicago, you will play a pivotal role in supporting all aspects of labor and employee relations within a new and exciting venture that aims to establish a world-class entertainment destination in Chicago. In this role, you will foster an environment that embodies Bally's 'Born to Entertain' philosophy, ensuring that the workplace is not only productive but also fun and engaging. You will be responsible for interpreting and applying the company's established policies and procedures regarding employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application across the board. This includes reviewing written documentation, coaching team members and managers, and responding to unemployment insurance notices. You will conduct investigations related to team member relations and partner with leadership on performance improvement documentation. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring compliance with all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures, assisting with timely notifications to the Illinois Gaming Board regarding employment separations, and managing monthly EEO-1 reports for new hires. You will work closely with department leadership on Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Leave of Absence (LOA) requests, and partner with them to analyze engagement survey results to create actionable plans aimed at improving employee satisfaction and retention. Monitoring turnover reports and taking proactive measures to decrease turnover while maintaining retention goals will be a key part of your role. You will also review and analyze grievances filed with HR, collaborating with senior leadership to create resolutions. Additionally, you will take a lead role in developing and implementing Human Resources policies and procedures that align with the company's employee relations philosophies, ensuring they are executed consistently and equitably. Consulting with legal and senior leadership to interpret employment laws will also be part of your responsibilities, as will assisting in team member programs and events.
