About the position

The Manager of Endocrinology at PACT MSO is responsible for overseeing the operations, staff, and productivity of the new Endocrinology office. This role involves managing employees, resolving complex operational issues, and ensuring high-quality patient care. The position requires travel between Milford and Hamden locations and entails creating and implementing processes to improve practice efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage employees in the department or division.
  • Resolve complex issues related to patient care, operations, and workflow.
  • Create and develop processes that adapt to changes in business demands.
  • Review and ensure that processes are updated with current business needs.
  • Implement new processes to enhance workflow, patient flow, and billing.
  • Oversee facilities and staff, ensuring proper training and standard operating procedures are in place.
  • Schedule staff to ensure appropriate coverage at each location.
  • Manage physician schedules to ensure patient and hospital coverage.
  • Conduct and prepare monthly staff and partner meetings.
  • Review and approve employee time cards for accuracy.
  • Review monthly financial reports and prepare partner reports.
  • Prepare yearly financial budgets and review monthly to maintain budget compliance.
  • Perform daily close of copays and reconcile with EMR, making weekly bank deposits.
  • Review monthly accounts receivable and address variances.
  • Approve and coordinate payables.
  • Conduct yearly performance appraisals for non-provider staff.
  • Address and resolve provider issues and concerns.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of medical practice management experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and coach staff while functioning as a team member.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR software.
